We were supposed to be ‘on the road’ today. Heading for Wiluna. There was a gratefully accepted suggestion last night when I finally made it home from my last day at work to delay a day so that I could feel ‘ready’.
It’s just as well we did.
A loaded road-test of my intended trailer this morning wasn’t the happy confirmation of steady tracking and ‘follow my lead’ that should have been the case. Coincidentally I’d had an email from Aga and Mateusz – a Polish couple who’d just got back to Perth after attempting the Canning Stock Route themselves. They offered to let me look at their trailer and see what I thought. All the handling problems were solved and the show was back on the road. Amazingly their only stipulation to lend me the trailer was that I return it to them in Poland after the trip. An absolute godsend :-)
And again – a place to watch our map-crawl and a place to donate if you’re inspired.
